Types of Jeep Gladiator Trucks

Types of Jeep Gladiator Trucks:The 2022 Ford Gladiator truck lineup will offer five different trims. All five of these trims will have some sort of new feature, such as cabin filters and a different silver paint color. In addition, sport models will now come with an upgraded radio. Other new features for 2022 include remote keyless entry and an Alpine nine-speaker audio system. Mojave models will also have navigation. There are several different types of Gladiator models, so it’s important to know what type of vehicle you’re looking for before making a purchase.

Rubicon

The Rubicon version of the Jeep Gladiator is ready for whatever the terrain brings its way. Its 3488mm wheelbase gives it a distinct advantage over the Wrangler. At speed, the Gladiator moves much more slowly than the Wrangler. As a result, it spends less time pushing itself around. It is also more comfortable to drive, thanks to its long wheelbase and lowered center of gravity.

Standard features of the Rubicon Jeep Gladiator include a 7.0-inch TFT multifunction display, a rear-view camera, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, a reversing camera, and a premium audio system. There’s also an available subwoofer and a wireless speaker. The pickup also features two USBs and a USB-C port for charging your mobile devices. It comes with a three-year warranty and three years of free maintenance.

Mojave

The interior of the Jeep Gladiator Mojave is comfortable and welcoming, borrowing from the Wrangler Unlimited (JL) with its relaxed layout. Its short-legged passengers might have trouble getting inside, but once inside, they’ll be pleasantly surprised. It also comes with a trailer tow package, which is a nice touch. Although the Gladiator Mojave costs about $59750, there’s no need to be put off by its unappealing looks.

The Mojave’s electro-hydraulic power steering system delivers light steering effort, but the vehicle is prone to crosswind sensitivity due to its flat sides. Still, the car’s big 45.0-inch turning circle offers a comfortable ride. Despite the Mojave’s high ride height, it is surprisingly quiet inside, but 71 decibels of interior noise at 70 mph are enough to impair a voice-recognition system. Another drawback is the cargo box, which doesn’t stand tall enough for a cooler.

Townside

The classic Jeep Gladiator Townside made its debut on the BaT show back in 2015. This particular example is finished in red with a two-tone interior and is equipped with a 327ci Vigilante V8 and a three-speed automatic transmission. It also features a dual-range transfer case and aftermarket 15-inch wheels. Other features include a retroSound radio and Kenwood speakers. This truck is backed by a clean Maryland title.

The J20 was a compact pickup truck marketed by Kaiser Jeep and Chrysler. It went through three different label changes and came to be known as the Gladiator and the J-series. The J20 was offered in half-ton and three-quarter-ton capacity, as well as four body styles. The bed was available in either a wide or narrow box. The J20’s wheelbase ranged from 121 to 126 inches, depending on the model.

Thriftside

The 1960s Jeep Gladiator came in many body styles, with the Townside serving as the most universal model. The Gladiator Thriftside, on the other hand, was a work-capable variation of the Townside. Stake models featured a cargo bed that was enclosed by a fenced-in frame and were popular with outdoor workers. Jeep also offered a Panel Delivery model with solid sides closing in the bed.

This model was introduced in 1963 as the first in the J series of Jeep trucks. It was available with two-wheel or four-wheel drive and borrowed its frame from the Jeep Wagoneer SUV. Jeep redesigned the Gladiator in the 1960s in order to improve its overall handling. A wide variety of modifications were offered for the Gladiator, from the roof to the wheels. Thriftside prices are available Monday through Friday 9am-5pm.

Altitude

The 2020 Jeep Gladiator Altitude is a new variant of the popular SUV. It comes with a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine and an eight-speed automatic transmission. This model features body-colored fenders and grille, black Trail-Rated badges, and 18-inch Granite Crystal wheels. Inside, the cabin features a black Freedom Top hardtop and a dual-top package with a softtop. The color choices for the 2020 Jeep Gladiator Altitude are Black, Gobi (beige), Billet Silver, Hydro Blue, and Granite Crystal.

The new 2020 Jeep Gladiator will only be available with a 3.6-liter V6 engine that produces 285 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. The V6 will only be paired with an eight-speed automatic gearbox. Jeep’s high-altitude variant has body-color trim and big wheels while the Altitude model will have a lower altitude. However, both versions will cost about $40,000, so it is important to compare both models before making a final decision.

Price

The price of a Jeep Gladiator depends on the model you choose. A base trim starts at $23,700. The base trim is not as luxurious as the Sport trim. It has plenty of manual adjustments, but at least it has air conditioning and bucket front seats. The Sport trim adds 17-inch silver aluminum wheels and an upgraded Uconnect infotainment system. A Sport S version automates previously manual functions. It also includes remote keyless entry and power mirrors.

The 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine in the Jeep Gladiator costs about $4,000. This engine is more powerful than other engines in its class, but it lacks the extra power and 0.5-1.0 second needed for shifts. If you’re looking for a high-performance pickup truck, the Gladiator is a great choice. It’s up to the task of competing with models like the Hilux and V-Cross.
